Human Experience

Human Fusion – The Next Zumba?

I’ve just tried a fitness class called HumanFusion, and it’s fun!

Actually, what I tried was only one small part of HumanFusion – there are several modules, so there’s something for everyone. Each Human Fusion module is based on a different style of dance, but you don’t need to be a dancer to join in. Always wanted to dance but never dared? HumanFusion could be exactly what you’re looking for!. I tried Foxyfusion, which is burlesque-inspired – if you’ve ever wanted to discover your inner showgirl, try this! But that’s where HumanFusion has the edge over other fitness programs – it’s more than just one kind of workout. Once a gym has signed up, they can offer nine different styles of workout classes, including OrientalFusion (bellydance-based), WarriorFusion(kickboxing-based), UrbanFusion (jazz/hiphop based), and so on. It’s well-established that you need variety in your fitness program, to ensure you exercise all your muscles in different ways, and to keep you interested.

I also like HumanFusion’s class structure. In Zumba, a number is often over before I’ve got the moves! In HumanFusion, you’ll learn only one routine in each class – so by the end, you’ve got a warm glow, not just from sweat but from the satisfaction of being able to dance a whole routine with confidence. Also, all HumanFusion instructors are trained dancers. Zumba is dance-based too, but you don’t have to be a trained dancer (or even a trained fitness trainer) to become a Zumba instructor. As a result, I often see Zumba teachers who don’t have the flexibility or musicality to demonstrate the moves properly.
